It is not everywhere that women can be their true selves, but Hope and Humor Therapy is just that kind of place. Social media, families, co-workers, friends, neighbors, children, significant others, and ourselves, all put pressure on us to be amazing all of the time. We can (supposedly) have it all, and we are expected to do it all well, even though that is impossible. We squash the parts of ourselves that don't fall in line with the goal of achievement, and we often lose our spontaneity, lightness, hopefulness. This creates a perfect recipe for stress, self-doubt, anxiety, depression, and disconnection. You deserve better!
I started Hope and Humor Therapy so that women could have a space to talk through their struggles, embrace the unpredictable nature of life, celebrate their imperfections, and find their sense of joy. This is a no-holds-barred place for exploration and support. All of the stuff that you feel others won't understand? Bring them here. All of your perceived flaws and past "mistakes"? They have a spot here too. The weird things that make you laugh? Those are most definitely welcome. Every part of yourself is invited to therapy at HHT. Using respectful exploration and open curiosity, I will help you view everything in a new light: yourself, your life, and your relationships. We will work together to (re)connect you to your core self, because therein lies your inner strength, self-compassion, and true character. You deserve to live a life where you feel like the amazing person that you are!
